13 May 2023 (banooda)-This is Baidoa, the capital city of Bay region, Somalia, the headquarter of the so called Southwest State. This is disgusting and unhygienic. The municipality is good in collecting revenue, but they won’t provide the services required. Shameless.
Lack of basic services such as proper sanitation can have a significant impact on public health and quality of life. We feel frustrated with the local government’s failure to provide these essential services.
One possible step we could take is to bring these concerns to the attention of our local government officials and express our dissatisfaction with the current situation. We could also consider organising with others in our community to advocate for change and put pressure on the government to address these issues.
In the meantime, it’s important to take whatever steps we can to protect the community’s health and wellbeing, such as avoiding contaminated water or food, practicing good hygiene, and seeking medical attention if necessary.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Cleanliness is half of faith” (Muslim). Therefore, it’s very important that the community should take part in cleaning of the city.
